Custody, not ownership
Mainsake holds your record as a custodian. You set the rules, and the steward enforces them. That division is the whole point: we are responsible for keeping the record safe, but it remains yours.
How it is protected
The record is encrypted, both at rest and in transit.
It is kept within private storage boundaries, separate from any public system.
Access is logged, so there is always an account of who saw what, and when.
Duties are separated, so no single person holds unchecked access.
If circumstances change
The practice carries professional liability coverage, and a continuity plan ensures your record is never left stranded if the practice itself changes hands or winds down.
The rights you keep
At every stage, you hold four rights without condition:
Access. You decide who may read the record, and when.
Amendment. You can add to it or revise it as long as it is in our keeping.
Export. You can take a full copy and move it into other custody.
Revocation. You can end custody altogether, at any time.
